Reliability Technician – LDI mine is looking for a motivated individual to join our Reliability Team. Reporting to the Planning/Reliability General Foreman, you will work a 4 on 3 off schedule at the Lac des lles Mine site.
The MLT (Machinery Lubrication Technician Level 1) position is responsible for equipment lubrication, contamination control, inspection and proactive maintenance activities for all lubricated mechanical systems.
A description of the general activities may include: Coordination of inventory and routine ordering of products. Use of tools and equipment for routine and non-routine lubrication functions. Operating filtration equipment. Grease lubrication with ultrasonic, manual and automatic dispensing equipment Maintenance of dispensing equipment and automatic systems. Labeling and tagging reservoirs, equipment, inventory and delivery containers. Printing and fulfilling planned lubrication activities Update scheduling systems, including adding notes to system and requesting work orders for maintenance repairs and activities. Major areas of responsibility include the application of maintenance practices in alignment with Lac des lles Mine business objectives, maintenance strategy and production goals, during the daily execution of maintenance activities on Hoist and Fixed Plant equipment. This position participates actively to implement and execute maintenance plans in a rapidly changing mining environment. This position facilitates the safety of staff, the environment, while communicating on a regular basis about equipment performance including availability, reliability, repeated problems, and cost. This position works closely with the Planner and other Supervisors using a team approach to solve problems.

This position is responsible for providing direction and managing health and safety, manpower issues, costs, and productivity while executing the 3 month and Life of Mine Plan. The schedule for this position is eight (8) days on and six (6) days off. The ideal applicant will possess a minimum of 20 years’ experience in mine operations, with 3 to 5 years as a General Foreman underground. Previous experience and technical experience of longhole/blasthole mining methods would be highly regarded.
